In Texas, the major political parties hold Primary Elections to determine their candidates for the November elections. Political party Primary Elections were held March 3, 2026.
- On March 3: Those candidates who received more than half of the ballots cast in their race won that election and will represent their political party in the November 3, 2026, Election.

- For races involving candidates in a contested race, the candidates have been asked questions by LWV. All candidates in the same race were asked the same questions. The candidates themselves typed in any responses. Some candidates may have chosen not to participate.
- For elections involving issues (e.g., bonds, constitutional amendments, charter amendments), LWV has provided information on what people are saying in support of or in opposition to each issue.
- Whether there are candidates or issues/bonds on your ballot, you may compare information side by side for each race that will be on your ballot.
