LWVR's Local Program Planning meeting was held on February 11. It was determined that, although there is no need to change our positions, we should review their language and consider revisions that would broaden their application. Our positions may be found here.
Five local positions (1, 2, 3, 4, and 7) have already been reviewed. The plan is to review the remaining positions via Zoom at 7pm:
- September 24 - Position V: Public Health Care Services in Richardson & Position VI: Video Recording City Council and RISD Trustee Meetings. Join the Zoom meeting.
- October 22 - Review proposed changes for all 7 positions
Although only LWVR members can vote to make changes to a position, we invite the larger community to attend a meeting to give input. We welcome your insight in proposing updated language for our positions. |
