As we close out June, it is time to gear up and prepare for the upcoming November Election season. This summer we have been scheduling Voter Registration opportunities in the City of Richardson and at Richardson ISD events.
While events are still being scheduled, below are some of the opportunities already planned. Hopefully, each LWVRichardson member and contributor can commit to help in some way by volunteering for at least one of these events! The events listed below do not include naturalization ceremonies or all university campus events that are also being planned.
You do not need to be a Volunteer Deputy Registrar (VDR) to help at one of these events, although we always prefer to have at least 1 VDR at each event. We need all hands on deck for this important work! We are hoping many can step up, especially on Tuesday, September 17, National Voter Registration Day, when we have multiple events scheduled simultaneously.

- Tuesday, September 17, 10am - 1pm, National Voter Registration Day at the Richardson Senior Center; Contact Janet Centola

- Tuesday, October 2, National Night Out in our own communities. Please obtain mail-in Voter Registration cards (that anyone can pass out) and pass them out to your neighbors who are not registered; In Texas, you must re-register to vote if you move or change your name. Contact Janet Centola
