On Tuesday, February 9, 2010, the League of Women Voters of Richardson sponsored a program titled JUSTICE IS BLIND -- But do I have to vote that way? Voting for judges in Texas.

Speakers for the evening were:

Dr. Anthony Champagne, Professor in the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas and
Keven Ann Willey, Vice President and Editorial Page Editor of The Dallas Morning News.

The moderator was:

Jeff Whittington, Senior Producer and Host, KERA 90.1 / KERA 13 and KXT 91.7

The meeting was designed to help voters make informed decisions in judicial elections. Topics included the history of the election of judges in Texas, considerations in evaluating judicial candidates, and methods used in other states to select judges. There was a section of the program for written questions from the audience.
