RISD Board of Trustees forum

A Candidate Forum for the Richardson ISD Board of Trustees was held Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the RISD Administration Building 400 S. Greenville Avenue, Richardson, TX 75081.

This forum was cosponsored by the League of Women Voters of Richardson and the RISD Council of PTAs.

The public was invited to submit questions to be asked of candidates in contested races at the forum. Questions that were emailed were given the same consideration as questions submitted at the forum. Questions were screened according to League of Women Voters of Texas Guide to Candidates Forums.

Richardson City Council Forum

On Wednesday, April 19, 2017, the League of Women Voters of Richardson sponsored a Candidate Forum for the Richardson City Council. Candidates for all seven places on the Council were invited to this forum; only candidates in contested races were asked to respond to questions. Unopposed candidates were given the opportunity to present closing statements.

The Candidate Forum was held in the Grand Hall of the Richardson Civic Center, 411 W. Arapaho Road, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The public was invited to submit questions to be asked of candidates in contested races at the forum. Questions that were emailed were given the same consideration as questions submitted at the forum. Questions were screened according to League of Women Voters of Texas Guide to Candidates Forums.

Collin County Forum

The League of Women Voters of Collin County held Candidate Forums for several Collin County races on Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Haggard Library, 2501 Coit Rd., Plano, TX 75075.

The forum for candidates for the Plano ISD Board of Trustees Places 1, 2, 3, and 6 took place from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. A Meet-and-Greet with candidates took place from 1:00 to 1:10 p.m.

The forum for candidates for the Collin County Community College District Board of Trustees Places 1, 2, and 3 took place from 1:10 to 1:40 p.m.

Voters who live in the Collin County portion of Richardson will be voting on these positions.
