Where can I find more information about the upcoming Primary Elections?
The deadline for candidates to file to run in the Primaries is December 11, 2017.
You can search by county for all candidates who have filed for office on the website of the Texas Secretary of State
Dallas County residents of Richardson may vote early at locations throughout the county. You may vote at any early voting location in the county. Early voting information will be available on the website of the Dallas County Elections Department.
Collin County residents of Richardson will be able to vote early at locations in Collin County. Early voting information will be available on the website of the Collin County Elections Department.
Early voting begins on February 20th and will end on March 2nd.
On Election Day itself (March 6th), regular polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Photo identification will be required.
League of Women Voters VOTERS GUIDE information will be available on the VOTE411.org website. VOTERS GUIDE content will be loaded onto VOTE411 as it becomes available.
To use this website, click on the link above, then fill in your address on the VOTE411 website. On the next page, click on "Get personalized information on candidates and issues." You may then see candidates' responses to the League of Women Voters questionnaires for the Primary Elections.
The VOTE411 website tailors the races you see to your voting location, so you do not have to figure out which county you live in or which races will be on your ballot. VOTE411 also allows you to compare candidates' responses side-by-side.
The League of Women Voters of Richardson will distribute printed Voters Guides at locations around town. We will also post links to printable Voters Guides as they become available.
On Tuesday, March 6, 2018, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
We will list Dallas and Collin County Election Day polling locations for both the Republican and Democratic Primaries as they become available.
NOTE: Election Day polling locations for Primary Elections are not always the same as polling locations for General Elections. Be sure to check back to determine where you can vote on March 6.
